Virginia Gaglianone

Virginia Gaglianone is an awarded Argentinean reporter who have been working for La Opinion since 2006, where she has held a variety of positions, from local news and general assignment, to copy and online editor, to writer and custom publishing. Before La Opinion, Virginia worked as a reporter for The Wave, The Culver City Star and The Independent. She also worked as the editor for La Ola, a Spanish weekly publication. Before working for La Opinion, she collaborated with KPFK, 90.7 Pacifica Radio, and KCSN radio. Virginia earned a master’s degree in Humanities, and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from California State University Northridge, where she graduated summa cum laude. While in Argentina, her native country, she also earned a bachelor’s degree in Music that allowed her to teach music and piano on public and private schools. She is one of the participating reporters in the USC Center for Health Journalism Reporting Collaborative project on California’s uninsured. Virginia lives in Los Angeles with her husband, and her three kids. When she’s not interviewing, researching or writing, you can find her on social media, sharing stories with her readers.
