Advisor Group to Host 2016 W Forum in Salt Lake City

Tenth annual women’s conference provides female advisors with
networking and educational events to support practice goals

, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks in the
nation, will host the 2016 W
in Salt Lake City, June 5-7. This event is the firm’s 10th
annual women’s conference providing educational sessions, along with
networking opportunities, to support female advisors as they grow their
financial services practices. Set among the beautiful backdrop of the
Rocky Mountains, this year’s conference will offer enhanced discussion
roundtables, peer-to-peer advisor sessions and fresh practice management

The 2016 W Forum’s keynote speakers include Diana Nyad, author,
journalist and long-distance swimmer who successfully completed the
110-mile swim from Cuba to Florida in 2013. Also taking the stage will
be Anne-Marie Slaughter, attorney, foreign policy analyst and political
scientist, who has been described as “an innovative and prolific
scholar” by Foreign Policy and named one of the magazine’s Top
100 Global Thinkers four years in a row.

Erica McGinnis, President and CEO of Advisor Group; Valerie Brown,
Executive Chairman, Advisor Group; and Lisa Hoyne, Senior Vice
President, Marketing of Advisor Group will also be featured speakers
throughout the conference.

The W Forum will feature topical breakout sessions on key business
techniques and industry topics including: Men and Money: What Female
Advisors Need to Know About Working with their Male Clients; Bridging
the Gap: Engaging Multi-Generational Clients through Impact Investing;
Building Lasting Alliances with Charitable Giving Strategies; Overcoming
Your Negative Mindset & Getting on Fire with Your Business; and Fueling
Women Business Owners, among many others.

This year’s event will also include a pre-conference charitable event on
Sunday, June 5th: a 5k
Fun Run/Walk to benefit Girls on the Run Utah
, an after school youth
development program that serves girls in third through eighth grade.
Registration is free with a suggested minimum donation of $50, which
will go toward the purchase of a pair of running shoes for the girls who
participate in the program. Monetary donations to Girls on the Run can
be made via the GOTR
or the Advisor Group donation
