PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#franchise–Bruster’s Real Ice Cream has found a great way to make something cool
really hot for the final weeks of summer. The premium ice cream chain
has paired new, limited-time Cayenne Chocolate Chunk with campfire
favorite, S’Mores, for its “Sweet & Heat” August promotion.
Cayenne Chocolate Chunk is a chocolate based ice cream spiced with
cayenne and cinnamon, then loaded up with chocolate chunks. Bruster’s
knew cayenne and chocolate were a winning combination, but found a way
to make it even better.
If it’s too hot to make s’mores over a campfire, Bruster’s is scooping
its version of the family favorite. S’Mores mingles swirls of
marshmallow with layers of graham cracker and chocolate chunks in
chocolate ice cream.
“Introducing a new limited-time flavor and bringing back a popular one
is intended to help maintain our great sales momentum as we head into
fall,” said Jennie Brinker, Vice President of Marketing.
Through July, Bruster’s same-store sales are up 10.4 percent this year.
The chain has posted 13 consecutive quarters of comp-sales growth.
Positioned as “A Scoop Above the Rest,” Bruster’s expects to add a total
of 20 units this year, with eight already open.
