Partnership with Mahou India, 100% subsidiary of Spanish brewing
major Mahou San Miguel, drives international expansion in India

C&C Group continues to ramp up its international expansion in
Asia-Pacific with the announcement of its third strategic partnership in
the recent months. C&C Group is proud to confirm the signing of a new
partnership with Mahou India, 100% subsidiary of Spanish brewing major
Mahou San Miguel, for several Tennent’s products in India.
C&C Group and Spanish-headquartered Mahou San Miguel have reached
agreement to brew several Tennent’s products under licence in India.
India is a rapidly growing beer market with strong fundamentals for
accelerated growth in the short term. Initially Tennent’s & Mahou India
will launch Tennent’s Whisky Oak Aged Beer and Tennent’s IPA, the first
authentic Indian Pale Ale, to be brewed in India.
Mahou India is the first international subsidiary of Mahou San Miguel, a
Spanish-owned family company and market leader in Spain with a
production share of 35.5%. Is based in Gurgaon (Haryana) and has a
production centre located in Bhiwadi (Rajhastan).
