Compact Power® Incorporated Supports Freedom Starts at HOME Weekend with Title Sponsorship of Five Mile Race

Growing Commitment to Veterans Continues with Participation in Annual
Event

FORT MILL, S.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Compact Power Incorporated recently announced its title sponsorship of
the Compact Power Five Mile Buddy Relay Run. The race is part of 2016’s Freedom
Starts at HOME Weekend
, a yearly initiative that first began in 2012.

Freedom
Starts at HOME Weekend
, beginning today, May 26, will host
activities including a cookout and outdoor activities during a three-day
period. With deep roots in the community, Freedom
Starts at HOME Weekend
has grown from a close-knit occasion
commemorating military personnel from Pinehurst, North Carolina, to an
ongoing tradition with visitors traveling from all over the region to
attend and participate. Freedom
Starts at HOME Weekend
, which is led by the Duskin
and Stephens Foundation
, will also welcome celebrity attendees Tim
and Elisabeth Hasselbeck in 2016.

Compact Power Incorporated, in turn, will partner with Team Red, White &
Blue throughout Freedom
Starts at HOME Weekend
. Compact Power employees will attend the Five
Mile Buddy Relay Run. The five-mile race will be held on a course that
weaves throughout Pinehurst, and the sponsorship serves as a
continuation of Compact Power’s expansion of its veterans-focused
efforts in 2016.

“Giving back to our veterans and their loved ones is a top priority for
us,” said Richard Porter, Compact Power’s Chief Operating Officer. “We
are grateful for their service to this country and are seeking new
opportunities to partner with them in a meaningful way. Beginning with
our partnership with Team Red, White & Blue, we are looking to tailor
in-house programs, over the next several months, to provide veterans
with new employment options while also showing our support.”

Compact Power Incorporated will introduce refined corporate programs in
2016, aimed at supporting military personnel including increased
employment opportunities for veterans as well as partnerships with
military organizations and initiatives.
