Holiday Lettings TripAdvisor

The Rotary Club of Santa Clara (www.santaclararotary.org)
together with the City of Santa Clara (www.santaclaraca.gov)
today announced plans for the 5th Annual 2016 Silicon Valley
Barbeque Championships at Santa Clara’s beautiful Central Park on
Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, 2016. This event is rated one of
the top 25 Barbeque Battles and Festivals in the USA by Holiday Lettings
TripAdvisor.

Recognized by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (www.kcbs.us)
as the second largest barbeque championship on the West Coast, this
event brings together 60 professional teams fighting it out to produce
the tastiest pulled pork, brisket, chicken thighs and pork ribs. Now in
its fifth year, the Silicon Valley Barbeque Championships keeps growing
with more and more live music acts and craft vendors joining year on
year.

“Our 2015 event was extremely successful last year, and we are confident
that this year’s event will surpass our expectations,” said Joe Sweeney,
event chair. “In addition, we are pleased to have the Mlnarik Law
Group of
Santa Clara (www.mlnariklaw.com)
as our Pro Team sponsor this year. All proceeds raised will benefit the
Santa Clara Rotary Foundation’s many local service projects we offer in
the community,” he added.

While the professional competition is winding down, the Backyard BBQ
Championships,
once again, sponsored by Eggs by the Bay (www.eggsbythebay.com)
will just be heating up. Watch as teams of Bay Area families, co-workers
and friends compete alongside teams of firefighters and police to
showcase their BBQ skills in chicken and tri-tip.

Whether you are a grill expert or simply a foodie fan, the SVBBQ offers
something for everyone! This year we added a Craft Beer Garden
and we are ready to serve up a variety of delicious craft brews during
the event.

Additional highlights include:

  • ADMISSION IS FREE!
  • A Food Court Alley
  • BBQ samples at $3.00 each
  • Live Entertainment both days
  • Wine, Margaritas, soft drink beverages
  • Kids Zone – variety of play activities
