Taking Place November 10-11, in Seattle, Washington
AKRON, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Smithers Apex will hold the eighth annual Wireless Power Summit event on
November 10-11, 2016, at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. The Wireless
Power Summit, immediately follow the Wireless Power Consortium 1605
meeting, will bring together coil manufacturers, component makers,
infrastructure companies, OEMs and tech developers to explore wireless
charging beyond cell phones, laptops, and tablets.
The Wireless Power Summit 2016 program has been created with the
guidance from an expert advisory board. Companies represented on this
year’s agenda include: IHS, Dell Corporation, WiTricity, OFS Brands,
United Sciences LLC and more. Speakers will provide insights into
emerging wireless power applications including hearables, power tools,
home appliances, and furniture trends.
“Wireless charging is now being widely accepted by consumers due to its
convenience and durability. Consumers are already using wireless
charging in cellphones and are looking for this technology to be applied
to larger appliances. And it’s not that far off, because larger wattage
applications are at the forefront of coil manufacturers’ business
plans,” said Kimberlee Rohrer, Conference Producer for Smithers Apex.
“The 2016 Wireless Power agenda features presentations from leading
industry experts such as Bosch, Haier and Ossia, that are already
working to implement this technology in their products. There has been
an abundance of early interest in this year’s program and we are
projecting this year to be our biggest conference yet,” added Rohrer.
