Insight Schools of California Now Accepting Enrollment for 2017-18 School Year

Online Public Schools Specialize in Addressing Needs of Struggling
Students

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–High school students who have struggled to find success in a traditional
brick-and-mortar school setting are invited to take advantage of
tuition-free public school options at Insight
Schools of California
(ISCA) to get back on track. The full-time
online public charter schools are now accepting enrollment applications
for the 2017-18 school year.

ISCA serves students in grades 9-12 who reside in many counties in
California, including Alameda, Amador, Calaveras, Contra Costa,
Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San
Bernardino, San Diego, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, Stanislaus and Ventura.

“Insight Schools of California offer targeted support for struggling
students,” said ISCA head of school Kimberly Odom. “Traditional school
is not always the best fit for every type of learner. Our approach is to
meet students where they are and help them reach their goals in ways
appropriate for each student.”

The experienced California-credentialed teachers and professional school
counselors at ISCA assess where students are academically deficient,
then work closely with them and their parents to create individualized
learning plans that map to each student’s unique academic needs,
personal interests and college and career goals.

In addition to the academic focus, ISCA also offers a Social and
Emotional learning (SEL) program, which helps students increase their
self-confidence and interpersonal skills. During the school year,
students will meet twice a week in online advisory sessions to discuss
topics that are relevant to their lives. The goal is to build
confidence, create a sense of belonging and equip students with skills
to make responsible decisions.

Students can also take advantage of ISCA’s quarter-system model. This
program enables students to concentrate on just three courses each
quarter (typically a nine-week period) and often helps students get back
on track and graduate from high school on time.

Families are invited to learn more and meet current families and staff
