Waxing the City Reveals Aggressive Development Plan for Dallas/Ft. Worth

Wax-Only Franchise to Introduce 25 to 30 Locations in Five Years

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Unwanted hairs are on their way out in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Waxing
the City
, a unique waxing studio devoted to the art of waxing and
known for its expertise and specially formulated waxes, is pleased to
announce the goal of adding 25-30 new studios in the region over the
next five years through strategic franchise partnerships, with three to
five opening in the next 18-24 months.

The new Waxing the City locations will join existing franchisees Joshua
and Melissa Narro, who own two locations between Dallas and Southlake.
The Narros have seen strong growth since introducing the Waxing the City
concept to the market in 2011, with an average of 200 new clients each
month since opening, and consistent year over year growth. The business
has been nothing short of healthy and has prompted the Narros to open a
second location in Southlake in January of this year. They are currently
considering opening a third studio in Dallas/Ft. Worth in the next year
or two.

Joining the Narros on the search for qualified franchise partners in the
Dallas/Ft. Worth area will be Co-Founder and Vice President of
Operations, Robin Schoh. Already working toward the goal of five
locations by the end of 2016, there are currently three studios in
various stages of development, including locations in Frisco, Plano and

“Dallas/Ft. Worth is a vibrant and growing area full of health, fitness
and beauty conscious men and women, making it a strong growth market for
Waxing the City,” said Joshua Narro, local franchise owner. “There are
territories available from Benbrook to Garland and in between, and we
are excited to work with local community and business leaders to join
forces and expand our footprint in this tremendously appealing market.”

Targeted development markets in which the team is actively seeking
franchise partners include the Dallas/Ft. Worth neighborhoods of
Bedford, Cedar Hill, Garland and Rockwall. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area
ranks fifth on Bloomberg Business as the strongest U.S. metro economy
due its diverse and vibrant makeup, strong schools and organizations and
high employment and job growth rates. Additionally, the metro area has a
high concentration of young, well-educated adults who are conscious of
their appearance and well-being, and expect quality service and value
for their money.

Waxing the City will bring to its new locations extensively-trained
technicians who are experts concentrating exclusively on providing
waxing services in a clean, inviting, and urban-chic environment. Waxing
the City excels at providing luxurious and comfortable waxes by using
two custom-formulated waxes – a hard wax made with Azulene, an ancient
oil that soothes and exfoliates the skin for facial waxing, and a soft
wax formulated to comfort the skin as it lifts off the most stubborn
hair during body waxing.

Since being acquired by Anytime
, LLC, the world’s largest co-ed fitness franchise, in 2012,
Waxing the City has generated fast and solid growth across the country,
demonstrating the strong partnership between the fitness and beauty
brands. The franchise expects to open 350 total locations by 2018 and
boasts a lower total investment and cost structure with a smaller
footprint and less build out, making it more operationally efficient.
